Mobile applications (Available only in Spanish)

A mobile device is an electronic communication device, usually of small size, with limited processing capabilities, and with permanent or intermittent connection to the Internet. Currently mobile phones and tablets are the most used known mobile devices. In this context a mobile application or app is a computer program designed to run on mobile phones and tablets.

In order to provide users with the most important Banco de México’s information and services through mobile devices this section includes a description and download links for all mobile applications developed by Banco de México.

Banxico al día

Application that allows users to view the main economic indicators, the latest news and documents published by Banco de México.

After accessing the information the first time, you may consult it even without an Internet connection. The economic indicators are displayed using interactive graphs and tables with the latest data available. It is possible to read the PDF documents within the same application.

The information that can be accessed is:

  • Economic indicators (exchange rates, interest rates, inflation and production).
  • Speeches and presentations by members of the Board of Governors.
  • Monetary policy statements.
  • Monetary policy minutes.
  • Quarterly reports.
  • Financial system reports.
  • Regional economic reports.
  • Research papers.
  • Recent news.

This application is useful for students, teachers, economists, researchers and anyone who is interested in Mexico's economic information.

 

 

 

Billetes Monedas MX

Application that allows to know the security features of all the Mexican banknotes in circulation:

 

  • 50-peso banknote, 100-peso banknote, 200-peso banknote and 500-peso banknote, "type D", which began circulating on January 1st, 1996. With the introduction of this type of banknotes Mexico's monetary unit's name changed from "New Pesos" to "Pesos".
  • 20-peso banknote, 50-peso banknote, 100-peso banknote, 200-peso banknote, 500-peso banknote and 1000-peso banknote, "type D1", which corresponds to "type D" banknotes but with additional security features. These banknotes began circulating on October 15th, 2001. In this group is the first 20-peso polymer banknote made that began circulating on September 30th, 2002.
  • 20-peso banknote, 50-peso banknote, 100-peso banknote, 200-peso banknote, 500-peso banknote and 1000-peso banknote, as well as commemorative notes 100-peso banknote and 200-peso banknote, "type F". The 20-peso banknote, 100-peso banknote, 200-peso banknote, 500-peso banknote and 1000-peso banknote are the currently designed banknotes.
  • New design of the 50-peso banknote, "type F1".

Likewise the main design features of the coins in circulation showing details of front, back and edge, including the new 20-peso coins.

  • 5-centavo and 10-centavo stainless steel coins.
  • 20-centavo aluminum-bronze coins and 20-centavo stainless steel coins.
  • 50-centavo aluminum-bronze coins and 50-centavo stainless steel coins.
  • 1-peso, 2-peso and 5-peso bimetallic coins.
  • 10-peso bimetallic coins: Arrival of 2000 and beginning of the third millennium, and 150th anniversary of the Battle of Puebla.
  • 20-peso bimetallic coins: Arrival of 2000 and beginning of the third millennium, arrival of 2000 and beginning of the third millennium (Octavio Paz), 20th Nobel Prize winning anniversary of Octavio Paz, 150th birth anniversary and 100th death anniversary of Belisario Domínguez Palencia, 100 years of Mexico’s Armed Forces, Centennial of the Heroic Deed of the port of Veracruz and Centennial of the Taking of Zacatecas.

 

 

 

 

Canje de efectivo

Application that allows to query the location of bank branches that provide the exchange of banknotes and coins throughout the country, in business days and during the hours of customer service of the respective bank branches, free of charge to the general public without the need to be a client of the bank. The services provided are:

  • Exchange of domestic fit banknotes or coins for others of different denominations.
  • Exchange of unfit banknotes or coins (damaged, demonetized, in the process of being withdrawn from circulation or deformed notes) for an equivalent amount in fit notes or coins currently in circulation.
  • Evaluation of incomplete or marked notes, and their exchange for fit notes in case they keep their value.

The application provides Information about the criteria for determining whether a banknote or coin retains its value.

 

 

Estadísticas Banxico

Application that allows users to view the economic indicators published by the Banco de México.

Users can find more than 190,000 time series, for example:

  • Exchange rates (Dollar, Euro, Yen, etc.).
  • Interest rates (Target rate, TIIEs, etc.).
  • Results of government securities auctions.
  • Inflation.
  • Remittances.
  • International reserves.
  • Balance of payments.
  • UDIS.

In addition users can display more than 500 information structures.

Internet connection is required to access the information. Once downloaded, users may consult the economic indicators in offline mode.

The indicators are shown using interactive graphs and tables with all the data published at the moment.

It allows users to create time series specialized portals, according to their information interest. It also, saves the favorite user series.

This application is useful for students, teachers, economists, researchers and anyone who has interest in Mexico economic information.

 

 

UbiCajeros Banxico

Application that allows the location of ATMs and users to view fees charged by banks to cardholders from other banks.
