Track the status of your payment Your payment never gets lost. However, different situations may occur that result in your payment not being reflected in your account, whether your bank´s connection with SPEI® has a problem, the connection with your bank´s website failed, or the bank that received the payment did not respond in a timely manner. Banco de México and the personnel in charge of SPEI® conduct multiple actions to make sure that the system is always available; they have designed two mechanisms through which you can track your payments and electronic transfers made with SPEI®: 1. Consult the status of your payment: You can monitor the status of any payment you made through SPEI, when you have a reference number or a payment search code and the name of the bank through which you conducted the SPEI® operation and the name of the bank to which the payment was intended to be made. 2. Electronic Payment Receipt (CEP): You can obtain an electronic document to back up the realization of your payment through SPEI®, when you have a reference number or payment search code, the name of the bank through which you conducted the SPEI® operation, the name of the bank to which the payment was intended to be made, the number of the account to which you sent the payment and the payment amount.
